Joanne E. Galliher is a very enthusiastic fiction writer known for her compelling narratives and unique insights into the human experience. One of her 30+ short stories, "Rowan and his Mate Joey," featured in the annual Australian Better Read than Dead Anthology 2021, alongside her notable works like "A Second Chance for the Potoroos" and "A New Way of Living" in Cyclamen & Swords 2013, showcasing her story telling prowess. Her creative narrative novellas, My Dad is a Marvellous Mosaic and With Every Breath (the struggle, success & celebration of her double lung transplant journey) earned her cash prizes.

Writing at least 4 hours a day, no wonder she wrote 30 short stories and 3 novellas between 2013 and 2021. Her favorite piece is her historical fictional trilogy novel, Eagles of the Rainbow Forever Volumes 1, 2 and 3.

She dabbles in many genres—historical fiction, multiculturalism, soul searching, romance, communicating/bonding with nature, advocating environmentalism and fictional dystopian.

With a BA in Speech Pathology, an MA in Communicative Disorders, a Teaching Credential and the completion of 10 community service courses, Joanne combined her academic background with helping people reach their highest potentials as a speech pathologist, teacher, vocational trainer, counsellor for disadvantaged families and an employment case manager for adults with disabilities.

Being Cherokee, Irish, German, Filipino and American she has a passion for promoting unity in diversity, advocating for a world free from racial, religious, age, gender and socio-economic prejudice.

Outside of writing, she enjoys daily exercise & jogging, meditation, gardening, painting, and exploring the great outdoors through camping and hiking.

Joanne is always up for adventure. She made Australia the new and forever home for her and her daughter in 1988. She absolutely thrived while living in her Australian 25-acre rainforest without any electrical power or installed plumbing her first 3-1/2 years when she was 49 to 54. And then, she became a cowgirl and fitness instructor.

In Australia, Joanne has lived by the sea, in the Outback and in rainforests since 1988. She is currently living in a quaint town of 300 in Tasmania, Australia.

Readers say that Joanne's dedication to her craft and her vibrant personality shine through in her work, inviting readers to connect with her stories on a deeper level.
